Oasis Aquila No.3 is a supported accommodation project based in Peckham, South East London, for 16 young homeless women aged 16-25 with 24-hour support staff-cover. Staff at No.3 give holistic, personalised support to each resident; through one-to-one support planning and key work sessions, each resident is supported to access and sustain employment, education or training, and fulfil the goals they identify for themselves in all areas of life.
The vision of No.3 is to be a safe home providing holistic support to young women experiencing homelessness. The residents we support have medium- to high- level support needs and typically stay at the project for 12 to 18 months. The project seeks to equip residents with the skills and confidence to live independently and so helps residents to improve their physical and emotional health and wellbeing, and develop key life skills such as cooking and cleaning, staying safe, managing money, and making a positive contribution to the project and to the wider community.
Referrals to the project are primarily made through Southwark Council RARS and Children Services. In the event that the council doesn’t fill a vacancy, nominated agencies are approached for referrals.
