Oasis UK and Oasis Aquila Housing Press Statement

Nancy

Following six years in post, Nancy Doyle, Chief Executive of Oasis Aquila Housing, will be leaving to take up a new role with the Virgin Money Foundation.

Appointed at Oasis in 2002, Nancy worked within our supported accommodation projects as a Support Worker, Deputy Manager and Service Manager before being appointed as Team Director of Faithworks in 2008, a national network of faith based organisations and part of the Oasis group. In 2010 Nancy moved to the North East to become the Chief Executive of Aquila Way.  In 2014 she oversaw the merger of Aquila Way and Oasis Housing to form Oasis Aquila Housing.

Commenting on Nancy’s move, Group CEO of Oasis UK, Joy Madeiros, says; “Oasis is indebted to Nancy for her service to the Oasis group since 2002, and her leadership of Oasis Aquila Housing over the last half decade.  Her clear, strategic guidance and hard work has meant that we have been able to help thousands of vulnerable people, providing them with housing and support often in their hour of greatest need.”

“Due to her vision that she has brought to the charity, Oasis Aquila Housing is in a great position to move forwards, built soundly on the firm foundations that she has established.  I know that I speak for the entire family of Oasis charities when I say thank you to Nancy, and we wish her all the very best in her new role.”

Nancy Doyle says; “I am profoundly grateful for my time at Oasis Aquila Housing.  The life-giving support that the charity is able to provide for some of society’s most vulnerable people is only possible thanks to the hard work and professionalism of our staff and volunteers and I would like to thank them for all that they do.”

“I am now looking forward to taking up my new position with the Virgin Money Foundation, safe in the knowledge that Oasis Aquila Housing will continue to go from strength to strength.”

Oasis has begun the process of looking for Oasis Aquila Housing’s next leader, and will announce the new appointment in due course.
